Nice Food for Nice People at First and Last

First and Last, owned and operated by husband and wife team Ashley and Rob Hammond, opened its doors in February of 2022 and became an instant favorite.


First and Last is the kind of restaurant that offers a rotating menu with made from scratch meals that offer a taste of home cooking and comfort foods, such as Chef’s homemade sausage and stone ground mustard, or the lamb neck pie made with fermented chili butter.


When visiting their restaurant, try to sit at the chefs counter and witness how the marvelous team made up of Chef Rob Hammond, Lead Line Sauté Daniel Pledstein and Pantry Chef Brett Fryer create magic in the kitchen. The staff, both in the kitchen as well as on the floor, work harmoniously, and it shows. Server Kim Smith shared with us how she ‘loves the team, the stellar quality of food, and the leadership from Ashley and Robb.’
